1. What’s has been the best moment about starting your own business?

Oh boy, there have been so many! Not as nearly as many that have brought me to tears...But 2 Big ones stand out for me outside winning the Ausmum award... The first being named in the top 1% of Facebook advertisers across Australasia. There is such little recognition in our world, so this meant a lot to us and the hard work we put in tirelessly day to day to maintain results. Second would be announcing my fourth baby, because, well, I am nuts. Have 4 children and still being the main contact for over 40 of our clients and 8 staff. But, the overwhelming support from my clients that never doubted me or the security of their account with us, was overwhelmingly supportive.

2. What has this win meant for you?

Everything. And it could not have come at a better time! I have been struggling with the millions of things I think I could do but did not really have the confidence to throw myself in wholeheartedly. And majorly struggling with the fact that I want to be a working mother, I don't have to be, I choose to be and that is ok. Now I have the confidence and direction to go full steam ahead with some very out of the box ideas and I cannot wait!

3. What advice do you have for anyone wanting to start their own business?

Productivity and persistence. Learn that resilience and persisting through something you want to do, and the ability to make the most out of every moment of the day means you can have it all. You do not have to have a new product or idea, you can be amazing doing something that already exists your own way.

4. What have you learnt from the 2019 Ausmumpreneur Awards?

You do not have to feel guilty about making money. We as women are built differently. We process and feel differently. We do not have to fit anyone else's mould but find a way to flourish in our businesses for who we are.

5. Where would you like to be in 5 years?

Seeing Olive Louise Social continue to flourish as a full-service agency and continuing to bring women in business together to continue the much-needed conversations we started this year with A Blind Date for Business.
